This Privacy Policy describes how the Argos browser extension and the Argos web service ("Argos", "we", "us", "our") collect, use, store, share and protect your information. Argos is an AI powered research and browser assistant. It is published by Argos and can be reached at info@tryargos.cc. This policy covers the Chrome extension identified above, the website at tryargos.cc, and the Argos command line tool.
The single purpose of the extension is to act on your browser on your behalf: to read the page you are looking at, to perform the browser actions you ask for, and to research topics for you. Every kind of data described below is handled for that purpose alone.
We collect and process the minimum needed to provide the service. Where a category below matches a Chrome Web Store data disclosure, it uses the same name.

Your data is used to deliver the feature you asked for, and for nothing else. Concretely, the browser capabilities Argos requests are used as follows:
chrome.debugger and chrome.scripting, performs browser actions on your behalf: navigation, clicks, scrolling and text input.activeTab and host access let Argos read the page you point it at so it can answer about it or act on it.tabs, tabGroups and webNavigation APIs list your open tabs in the panel for context, switch between them, and organise tab groups from natural language commands.cookies API carries your own signed in session into your own cloud tasks, only after you agree on the consent screen inside the extension, as described above.We do not use your data for advertising, for profiling, or to build a profile of you across sites. We do not use your conversations to train our own models.
We do not sell, rent, trade or lease your personal data to anyone, under any circumstances. The table below lists every party that receives user data from Argos, what it receives and why. Each of them handles the data under its own privacy policy, and only to provide its part of the service.

Payment card data is never sent to the AI providers. Integration tokens are sent only to the service they belong to. Apart from the parties above, we disclose data only if we are legally required to, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Argos or its users.
Our use of data received from Google APIs and from Chrome extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
Account data, conversation history, generated files and usage metadata are stored on servers hosted by Supabase, on AWS infrastructure in the ap-northeast-2 region. Generated files are stored on a persistent volume attached to our application host, Railway. Stored browser sessions and linked WhatsApp sessions are kept on the same application host. Local preferences and session state stay on your own device in Chrome's local storage.
All data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS and TLS, and encrypted at rest by our storage providers. Integration OAuth tokens are encrypted before they are stored, and stored browser sessions and site logins are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Access to production systems is restricted to the operators who need it. Page content and screenshots sent for a single request are processed to answer that request and are not retained as a separate archive.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Conversation history, generated files and usage metadata are retained while your account is active. You can delete individual conversations and files at any time from inside the product. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by writing to info@tryargos.cc. All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Stored browser sessions can be removed at any time in the extension under Tasks, Browser Sessions, and are deleted immediately when you do. Site logins you gave Argos in the chat are deleted on request to info@tryargos.cc, and with your account.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@tryargos.cc. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under the GDPR or the CCPA, and this policy is how we meet them.
You can stop all data collection at any time by signing out, disabling the extension, or removing it from Chrome. You can also simply not use the features that send page context.
Argos is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to info@tryargos.cc and we will delete it promptly.
Argos operates internationally, and the processors listed in section 3 may process your data outside your own country, including in the United States and in South Korea. Where such a transfer happens, it is covered by the safeguards our processors provide, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We may update this policy. When we do, the "Last updated" date above is revised, and a material change is announced in the product or by email. Continued use of Argos after a change means you accept the updated policy.
